I USE SPOTIFY FREE AND CAN´T GET THE CORRECT SONG TO PLAY. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
HITSTER can be played with any music streaming service, but playback is often easiest with Spotify, thanks to the QR codes, and works best with Spotify Premium. If you use Spotify Free, Spotify has certain functional limitations, which can change over time, between different countries, and across different phones. The most common scenario is that the correct song appears in Spotify when a card is scanned, but you must press “play” in Spotify for the song to start playing. Additionally, it usually happens that if you have listened to part of a song and then scan the same card again, it will start playing from where you last stopped listening. If you have finished listening to the song, it will start playing a sort of radio mode with what it perceives as similar songs.
For some users, Spotify Free may cause the wrong song to open, and it may not be possible to search for and play the song listed on the card. If you have access to a tablet, we recommend trying to install the HITSTER app on it and use it to scan the cards. Another option, if you have access to a computer, is to install Spotify on it and have a dedicated DJ to search for the music on it. By using a tablet or computer, the issue of the wrong song playing should not occur.
I'M HAVING TROUBLE WHEN I SCAN THE CODE AND SPOTIFY OPENS UP IN MY WEB BROWSER. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If the Spotify link opens in your web browser, you should see a prompt at the top of the screen and in a dialog box asking if you want to open the link in Spotify. To avoid having to approve this every time you scan a new song, simply accepting to open the song in the dialog box is not enough. What you need to do is click “open” in the banner at the top of the screen and allow links to automatically open in your Spotify app from then on. This should solve the problem!
I GET AN ERROR SAYING "THE SCANNED CODE IS NOT A QR-CODE FROM HITSTER", WHAT SHOULD I DO?

This version of HITSTER should only be sold and used in countries outside the Nordics. If you have this game and live in the Nordics you need to temporarily change your Appstore/Google play country setting to for example the UK in order to download the HITSTER-app that works with this version of HITSTER. HOW DO I PLAY THE MUSIC?
Download our app from Appstore or Google play, to play the music in the game. To download and use the app you must be located in the Nordics and the DJ must be a Spotify user. Otherwise, click here.
FOR HOW LONG ARE WE SUPPOSED TO LISTEN TO EACH SONG?
It's up to you how long time a player can use and we suspect it might vary with how good you think the song is.
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DOES THE GAME CONTAIN?
The game contains a variety of recognizable upbeat songs within different genres from the past 100+ years. We are confident that you recognize most of them.

HOW ARE THE 3 DIFFICULTY LEVELS SUPPOSED TO BE USED?
The game comes with 3 difficulty levels. Each level is associated with different requirments for what it takes to become a HITSTER. We recommend that you start by playing HITSTER ORIGINAL. If you find that too easy, you move on to HITSTER PRO and then HITSTER EXPERT. Players can also use different difficulty levels in the same game or play as a team in Jamming mode. Read more here.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET TWO HITS ON THE EXACT SAME YEAR?
Placing the music card to the left or right of a card on your timeline which turns out to be the exact same year as the music card is both correct.
DOES IT TAKE LONG TO GET STARTED?
No, it takes approximatly 5-10 minutes.
WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF A HITSTER?
The definition of a HITSTER is as follows: The first player to use knowledge, courage and strategy to collect 10 music hits.
HOW ARE THE SONGS DISTRIBUTED OVER TIME?
This varies a bit depending on version, but in general there is at least one song for every year from early 50s up until the most recent year when that version of HITSTER was released. The decades with the highest number of songs is 80s, 90s and 00s.
IS HITSTER AVAILABLE IN OTHER LANGUAGES?
In the Nordics HITSTER is available in English, Swedish, Finnish, Danish, Icelandic and Norwegian. Otiside the Nordics, versions in for example French, Dutch, Deutsch and Spanish are available through our partner JumboDiset.
