Natalie Imbruglia – Torn (1997)

This song was written in 1993, for rock band Ednaswap, but they didn’t record it. However, Lis Sørensen did record it that same year – in Danish. The track was called “Brændt”. Ultimately the Imbruglia version was the biggest hit.
