Nick Lowe – Cruel To Be Kind (1979)

Lowe took the phrase “Cruel to be kind” from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, in which the Danish Prince exclaims “I must be cruel only to be kind. Thus bad begins and worse remains behind”.
